Newsletter - July 2011
Dear partners & friends,
After much prayer and hard work, we have renewed our broadcasting contract for another three years! Praise the Lord for His goodness and for your continued support of this ministry!
As some of you may be aware, we recently conducted a survey. If your email address was registered on our systems, you would have received an invitation to participate in the survey. When the survey was announced, we received and overwhelming response through phone calls and submissions through our website!
The purpose of the survey was to assist us in determining the number of viewers that actively watch each of our respective channels. The overwhelming comments, suggestions and compliments received where very encouraging! Your participation in this survey has certainly given TBN valuable insight into how we can best serve you and further reach others into the future!
One of the biggest requests that came out through the survey was for new and local programming!
We are excited to announce that new programs will start to emerge later this year on TBN. We will initially air programming from ministry partners around the Pacific, and in God’s timing, later diversify into TBN produced content as funding becomes available.
TBN will aim to include an exclusive range of programming consisting of documentaries, interviews, movies, music videos, children’s shows, mission events, ministries, churches and preachers. We aim to represent our colourful and diverse variety of Pacific cultures! We will announce the addition of these new programmes as they become available.
If you would like to see a particular ministry or special upcoming event on TBN, or if you are a ministry that would like to broadcast content, please contact our office with your request. Thank you viewers for your participation!
We’ve had to scrutinise our operational expenditure so that our purpose remains focused on the advancement of the gospel in the Pacific. Our aim is to continue to concentrate our energy and resources on people and communities where TBN can make a lasting difference. For this reason, TBN has strategically decided to bring all operations in the Pacific region under the roof of TBN Australia and consequently ending our affiliation with Elijah Communications Trust as of 30th June 2011. The only direct effect this has to our New Zealand partners, is that the postal address and banking details have changed.
We therefore ask our New Zealand partners to notify your bank and make the necessary changes as per below. Do note that for the interim, donations in New Zealand are NOT tax deductible. We will notify you further of any changes.
We are constantly praying and believing God for your break through on a daily basis. The scriptures tell us “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” Phil 4:6. Imagine never being anxious about anything! It seems like an impossibility. We all have worries in life, but Paul’s advise is to turn worries into prayers. Do you want to worry less? Then submit to more prayer! Whenever you start to worry, stop and pray.
If you are a TBN viewer and have never experienced how real God can be in your life. I encourage you to step out in faith and believe God for your miracle. Seek His kingdom and His righteousness and ALL things will be added onto you! We’re looking forward to Gods power in our 2011 Macedonian Call.
Please continue to pray for the whole TBN team. We do appreciate the many ways in which you, our faithful partners have bless us!

JCTV / SOAC Channel
As of the 1st August, JCTV and SOAC will be combined into the one channel which will air JCTV from 6pm to 6am EST and SOAC from 6am to 6pm EST.
The recent survey results continue to show a decreasing viewer support for these channels. However, we appreciate the minority of viewers such as youth groups, parents with small children and Sunday school teachers that do enjoy and benefit from the channels.
What is the Macedonian call?
In Acts chapter 16 verses 6-10, Paul receives a vision from the Lord where a man from Macedonia stood and pleaded with him saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” Paul sailed from Troas to Philippi which is in Macedonia.
TBN’s Macedonian Call “telethon” is to raise missionary funds to reach nations. We have a waiting list of other nations asking us to come and build transmitters.
