Praise-A-Thon November 2009
Thank you so much for your on-going support. We really appreciate those who sow during our telethons as well as those who sow with regular gifts to TBN throughout the year.
Twice a year during the first week of November and the first week of April, we run a week long telethon that raises most of our annual budget to bring these great TV channels to your home.
It takes a staggering amount of cash-flow to keep any television network on air and there are just three common ways to raise the funds:
(a) Some encrypt their channels and charge monthly viewing fees.
(b) In order to be “free-to-air” and available to whomsoever, some fill the channels with babble so that the viewer sits through as much as 25 - 35 minutes of advertisements during each hour of viewing.
Some do both (a) and (b)!
(c) Some chose to be both free of fees and free of babble and the only way to do so is to rely on donations as do most of the religious channels.
TBN NETWORKS runs 100% on free-will donations from those who hear the call and know the blessing of sowing into God's Kingdom. We do this to make it easy for those viewers who need us most because of hardship, or because some anti-Christian influence dominating their household. It is for these ones that we bring these channels to Australia and to New Zealand as well as our missionary projects across the world. TBN NETWORKS delivers these same channels plus our foreign language channels to Europe, the Middle East and Asia. We also gift whole TV stations to the churches in poorer countries.
We do this through the love and generosity of those who have faith to know that God provides for every need and He provides more to those that trust Him enough to sow when and where He says. |
